Stay safe in the outdoors
Learn the skills to manage a first aid emergency when help may be delayed
Outdoor First Aid
Our regulated outdoor first aid courses teach you the skills to manage first aid in a dynamic environment. Changing weather conditions, difficult terrain and delays in help arriving all make first aid in the outdoors a real challenge. Our courses are popular with a wide range of outdoor professionals and enthusiasts.
16 Hour ITC L3 First Aid
This is our most popular course, running regularly in the Forest of Dean and Gilwern, near Abergavenny. The 2 day, hands-on course meets the first aid requirements of Mountain Training UK, British Canoeing, British Cycling and the British Caving Association among other awarding bodies. That makes it ideal for Mountain Leaders, Rock Climbing Instructors, Mountain Bike leaders and paddlesport leaders and coaches. The course is also suitable for outdoor enthusiasts wanting to improve their skills.
8 Hour ITC L3 Outdoor First Aid Emergency Action
This course is suited to anyone operating in the outdoors but close to help. Examples include on-site staff at outdoor centres and attractions.
16 Hour Forest School First Aid with Paediatric First Aid
Our Forest School First Aid course is tailored to the needs of forest school leaders. We focus on the scenarios that are most relevant to the Forest School setting and also cover paediatric first aid within the course. This means that successful candidates achieve both the Forest School first aid certificate and the L3 Paediatric First Aid qualification.
In-House or Open Outdoor First Aid Courses
We run regular open courses in the Forest of Dean and South Wales. If you’d like a private course for your group, please just get in touch and we’ll be happy to give you a quote.
