
Emergency paediatric first aid is the minimum qualification required for recently qualified early years practitioners. It’s also the ideal qualification for support staff in nursery and other early years settings. We also provide the full 12 hour paediatric first aid qualification, needed to meet OFSTED and CIW requirements.
We believe that first aid is a practical subject, best taught practically. That’s why our training courses include plenty of hands-on training in first aid techniques and procedures. We only use presentations to reinforce the theory behind each area of first aid, rather than as the main way of delivering our training.

Our 1 day / 6 hour Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is aimed at those operating in a support role under the supervision of somebody holding the full 12 hour paediatric first aid qualification.

Successful completion of our Emergency Paediatric first aid course leads to a regulated qualification certificate, awarded by ITC First. The exams regulator for England (OFQUAL) has oversight of this qualification. By opting for a regulated qualification, you can be assured that your trainer is up to date and qualified to deliver this course.
This course requires participants to undertake some degree of manual handling and physical exertion, including moving simulated candidates on the floor and performing simulated chest compressions on a manikin.
