First Aid at Work

First Aid at Work Refresher

Course Overview

Skill fade begins shortly after any first aid course. That’s why the Health and Safety Executive recommends annual first aid refresher training for your staff. This one day course will help ensure your first aiders stay up to date and confident to deal with a first aid emergency.

Lifesaving Update Training

The one day first aid refresher course can be tailored to whatever you most need to focus on. We always cover a recap of the incident procedure and basic life support for unconscious casualties. Cardiac arrest including CPR and defibrillator use is on every course too, along with bleeding and shock.

First Aid at Work Health and Safety

This course requires participants to undertake some degree of manual handling and physical exertion, including moving simulated candidates on the floor and performing simulated chest compressions on a manikin.

If you think that you may have a condition, which may pose a problem or may prevent you from taking a full and active part on the course, we may be able to make a reasonable adjustment.  Please see ITC First’s Access to Qualifications Information If you would like to request a reasonable adjustment please contact us ahead of your course.

You are advised that by registering on an ITC First qualification you are protected by Borderlands First Aid’s Policies, which are available on request, as well as ITC First’s set of policies including Complaints Policy and Appeals Policy.

Please be aware that we will discuss some real-life incidents in detail and may view some slides and video of serious medical and traumatic incidents. If this is likely to cause you distress, please discuss this with your trainer in confidence prior to the course beginning so that we can make any necessary adjustments.
